Your “pacifism” is our death.

For nearly 1,300 days, russia has been bombing Ukrainian cities in its full-scale invasion – destroying lives, deporting children – a genocide in the heart of Europe, a war that has lasted for more than a decade. Meanwhile, so-called “peace demonstrations” seek to discuss the war in abstract terms, without acknowledging the reality: a country was attacked because it was perceived as too weak to defend itself. That is why we are calling for a counter-protest in response to the so-called “peace demonstration” at Augustusplatz. “Pacifism” that equates perpetrator and victim means turning away and ignoring suffering.

Rearmament is not warmongering – it is the only way to defend oneself, to deter russia, and to support Ukrainians. Solidarity does not mean chanting slogans, but standing up in concrete ways to ensure that people can live in freedom. Those who demonstrate against arms deliveries today are not strengthening peace, but russia’s aggression.
