#14 Café Ukraїna: where russian propaganda hides: reading and discussion with journalist and author Iryna Avramenko

In the modern world, propaganda has become an integral part of our information space thanks to globalization and easy access to information – on the internet, on television, in global politics, and even in everyday conversations with acquaintances and neighbors. In light of russia’s war against Ukraine, russian aggression, and its hybrid influence worldwide, it has become extremely important to learn how to withstand the flood of propaganda, disinformation, provocative messaging, and outright lies.
We warmly invite you to our next Café Ukraïna, which will take place on October 20 at 5:30 PM at the Polish Institute Leipzig. We have invited journalist and media expert from the Pylyp Orlyk Institute for Democracy, Iryna Avramenko, who will explain how to recognize russian propaganda and how to effectively counter it.
After the official part, there will – as always – be an opportunity to exchange ideas over drinks.
Admission: free.
