#2 Café Ukraїna

Dear friends of Ukraine,

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended the opening of “Café Ukraїna.” Thank you very much for your support and trust, and for your interest in Ukraine.

We are pleased to announce our next meeting, which will take place on Friday, August 9, at 6:00 PM.

At the 2nd meet-up, we will watch the documentary by director Evgeny Afineevsky, “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom,” and talk about the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity.

Our activists from Ukraine will share their memories and experiences from that time:

• Anna Perepechai was a student in Kyiv at that time and took part in the protests;
• Sonja Kalmykova will speak about the situation and the mood in her hometown Simferopol in Crimea;
• Kateryna Pikalova will share her story of the Maidan in her hometown Dnipro.

If you would also like to share your story or are interested in hearing others’ experiences and asking questions about the Maidan, you are welcome to join us at “Café Ukraina.”

Everyone is invited to take part in the discussion.

As always, there will be snacks and drinks.
